Waiting room - What are we waiting for? What happens while we are waiting? What do we feel while we are waiting? What changes while we are waiting? What memories remain after waiting?
The waiting room is a place of transit. Here we are in a state of maximum passivity, which at the same time leads to a large presence of variable emotional states. The room is usually overloaded with objects and details that invite occupation and are supposed to radiate sober friendliness. Many of these typical design elements of the waiting room are very familiar to us and firmly anchored in our collective memory.
In this detailed spatial sculpture of a waiting room, a reflection on the individual and collective experience of waiting and the dynamics and potentials inherent in it is to emerge. The focus can be on physical and emotional, but also social and political aspects.
