Whoever enters the room is immersed in an overall noise.
Eight small loudspeakers installed in shower cubicle dummies, shower hoses and pipes emit sound works by Munich-based and international artists who have created the fallacy-The sound sources are all about noise, and only those who approach the individual sound sources for a moment under a sound shower head or hold the shower directly to the ear will notice how different and individual noise can be. Only those who approach the individual sound sources within this basic noise, who stand for a moment under a sound shower head or hold the shower directly to the ear, will notice how different and individual noise can be, where internal differentiations become perceptible: whether body noises, synthetically generated noise, nature recordings or media found objects. Depending on the position in the room, the auditory impression changes due to the proximity and distance to the various sound sources as well as the sound reflections of the room.
The retro tiles in yellow and green were the starting point for the colour concept of the room. The noise sources blend into the former bathroom. Fabric elements serve the purpose of acoustics, but also lead to a visual break. The window is not only a view to the outside, but a view between the walls, in which secret noise is hidden.
The seven-member fallacy-collective from Munich curates, conceives and designs formats in the fields of concert, theatre, performance and installation. The aim is always to make music not only audible but also tangible in physical, spatial and social dimensions.
For this project fallacy collaborated with the following artists:
Yiran Zhao | Uwe Rasch | Neo Hülcker | Gunnar Geisse | Benoît and the Mandelbrots | Kirstine Lindemann | Georg Nussbaumer | Sebastian Berweck | Jonas Urbat | Julia Mihály | Ole Hübner | Annesley Black | Hannes Seidl | Felix Kruis | Hans w. Koch
