Tiamat - Primal Chaos and Creation - The Tiamat exhibition space invites visitors into an immersive, sculptural installation inspired by Babylonian and Sumerian creation myths. Dark, copper/gold-coloured tones dominate the space, whose organic, anatomical forms create a symbiosis of menace and grace. The atmosphere is simultaneously disturbing and fascinating. At the centre is the figure of Tiamat, the central figure of the Babylonian Enuma Eliš. As the embodiment of primordial chaos and the life-giving primordial waters, she symbolises the duality of creation and destruction. These opposites are reflected in the design: powerful, threatening structures merge with flowing, almost delicate elements and create a tension-filled harmony. The installation makes the archaic symbolism of chaos and creation tangible and encourages reflection on the ambivalence of beauty and danger.
Tiamat is an expression of his endeavour to combine primal forces and contemporary aesthetics to create an unforgettable experience.
