INVITATION TO THE VERNISSAGE - "BETTER ME" AM 07.03.2024
"Better me" It could be understood as "a better version of myself". As women, mothers, daughters and sisters, we are always in a state of transformation. Constant optimisation in every situation in life, just not standing still. Whether socially imposed or self-projected. Questions arise such as: If I am already someone, what do I want to pass on to the next generation, the girls? Which roles and role models are important? What values and above all gifts do I pass on? What story do I want to tell? How should I ever be remembered? How can I leave my mark on others? What is my message?
At the centre of "Better me" is the idea of unity in the midst of diversity, of generations. To visually represent our alliance.
About the artists:
KATALINA KOSS
"I've always stood out, I've never fitted into the system. My natural habitat is rebellion, thinking outside the box, life without boxes and templates. My pictures show a way of letting go, of escaping, against the constraints of society, regardless of their nature. I paint the moment of "letting go", it is the moment that nobody can take away from me."
KATALIN BERECZKY ART
"Ceramics - the moment of human creation fired in clay, the versatility of the material, the release of creative energy that I have been able to observe and experience in many artists and in myself - has fascinated me all my life. What I cannot say or describe, I express through my ceramics. My work tells of the universe and my thoughts. I believe that what I send out in positive hope returns as inspiration, which allows me to awaken my energies."
LAURA KATALIN KOSSACK
Laura comes from a German-Hungarian family of artists. She discovered her enthusiasm for art and ceramics in particular as a child. Her works revolve around the leitmotif "Beyond the Walls" and inspire her in her questions about freedom. Her way of working helps her to take a critical look at our society and capture memories.
RiA REISER MUSIC
The hip-hop artist RiA Reiser is an exceptional talent in Bavarian dialect rap, which is predominantly characterised by men.
