Here is some more information about them:
Juliana Gutiérrez Wiest
The artist Juliana Gutiérrez Wiest comes from Colombia. She emigrated to Germany at the age of 17 and thus began her journey into the art world. Her paintings and multimedia installations are characterised by the transculturality of both cultures. In this sense, Juliana combines abstract elements that embody the hazy memories of her Colombian homeland with precisely painted sculptures that are visually reminiscent of European classicism.
The multimedia artist does not choose the classic canvas as a painting surface, but aluminium. This material makes the artwork come alive, it absorbs light or reflects it back. Sometimes it seems brighter, sometimes darker. This effect helps to create a blurred world.
In her art and multimedia studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Juliana learned to combine the analogue world with the digital one. Thus, she brings her interactive artworks to life through a projection, with the aim of enabling the viewer to immersively dive into her works and interactively control the installation with the help of a controller.
Mandana Behdad is a talented and versatile artist, hailing from Tehran. She began her artistic journey at a young age, discovering her passion for painting at the age of 16. Inspired by the beauty of the world around her, she dedicated herself to mastering her craft, honing her skills through years of hard work and dedication.
After completing her basic education, Mandana studied graphic design in Iran for eight years, learning the intricacies of design theory and the art of visual communication.
A true multiple artist, Mandana's skills are not limited to her graphic design background. She has a deep love for digital arts and sculpturing, incorporating new techniques and mediums into her work to create stunning and unique pieces. She is also passionate about sound design, using her expertise to create captivating soundscapes and ambient music that transports listeners to other worlds.
Mandana's talents as a visual artist and sound designer also led her to excel as a VJ in Tehran. She had different projects and live VJ on all the prominent stages in Tehran.
Determined to continue growing as an artist and broadening her horizons, Mandana is currently studying for her second bachelor's degree in Munich at the Akademi der Kunst und bildende. There, she is exploring new techniques and styles, gaining inspiration from the rich artistic heritage of Europe, and creating beautiful works that touch the hearts and souls of all who see them.
Mandana Behdad is an artist who truly embodies creativity, passion, and dedication. At every turn, she has shown herself to be a fearless and multifaceted artist, unafraid to experiment with new techniques and mediums to bring her vision to life.
