The international project "New York Black and White" captivates with beautiful black and white images by photographer Alessandra Mattanza, taken in her hometown New York City. In a deeper sense, the images serve as a projection screen for the omnipresent, unignorable situation surrounding social justice, racism and human rights.
As part of the International Weeks against Racism from 14 to 27 March, KUNSTLABOR 2 is offering a comprehensive supporting programme that deals with this year's motto "Showing Attitude".
If you want to learn how artists from the graffiti scene create works on the street these days and how you can create your own cool stencil, then KUNSTLABOR 2 is the place for you. As part of the International Weeks against Racism, the topic "Showing Attitude" will also be addressed.
As part of our "Meet the Artists" event series, Studio Winter will be giving a guided tour of the space on 19 March (starting at 5pm and 6pm) and talking about the concept and implementation. Afterwards there will be time for open questions and spontaneous conversations.
