As part of our "Meet the Artists" series of events, on 15 April caratoes through her new space and talks about the concept and implementation. Afterwards, there will be a performance and time for open questions and spontaneous conversations.
Caratoes is a nomadic artist who hails from Belgium and Hong Kong. She has been travelling the world since 2014, creating murals and installations internationally.
Their latest project is to bring to life the ancient mythical gods such as snakes, dragon, Kukulkan or Ouroboros. Here, ceremonies and conversations are taken up for collective healing and trauma processing, rebirth and transformation.
Caratoes build installations of their dragon's body parts all over the world. If you are in the room with one of these parts, you are also connected to the other places and people. Munich, Tulum, Wuhan, New Zealand .... the creature represents a collective healing.
The event is included in the admission price.
