Exhibition - Residual Spaces

April 5 @ 12:00 - April 20 @ 18:00

Exhibition - "Residual Spaces"

In Residual Spaces Alan Myers and Guido Palmadessa create a visual territory in which fragments of bodies, objects and spaces merge with the echoes of reconstructed memories. Their works function like an incomplete map in which intimacy blurs and the everyday transcends its familiarity.

The narrative remains deliberately unspoken and invites a slow contemplation of the in-between. In these spaces of rupture and restoration, the viewer encounters a sensual and emotional experience that goes beyond the boundaries of the figurative.

What happens to what we leave behind? What remains? What forms does intimacy take when it breaks down?

The residual embodies what remains - those faint traces of presence that resist fading, that have existed and will persist long after us to shape the spaces we inhabit.

Alan Myers - Biography

Alan Myers (*1988, Buenos Aires) paints out of uncertainty - where the figure forms and dissolves in the same gesture. His work does not endeavour to illustrate certainties, but rather to hint at the complexity of human nature: Bodies that oscillate between presence and absence, colours that carry emotional tensions, brushstrokes that conceal as much as they reveal.

There are no absolutes in his paintings - only nuances, contradictions and fragments of a world in which fragility is not a limitation but an essential condition of existence. Through his expressive use of colour and brushwork, Myers explores vulnerability and rejects binary notions of right and wrong, good and evil. Instead, his works move through the infinite complexity of human experience and embrace the spaces in between.

Guido Palmadessa - Biography

Guido Palmadessa (*1988, Buenos Aires) is a painter and muralist currently based in Berlin. With roots in urban art and an academic training at the National University of the Arts (U.N.A. Argentina), he explores the human condition in his work, combining raw, expressive techniques with structured, graphic compositions.

His painting combines socially anchored portraits with symbolic visual languages that reflect both cultural narratives and personal issues. By constantly questioning the nature of memory and perception, his works unfold like memories - fluid, fragmented and ever-changing. These accidental portraits capture moments of transformation and challenge the notion of painting as something static, as if the image itself is resisting stasis.

Palmadessa's works can be found both on walls and in galleries in Europe and Latin America.

Exhibition - "Residual Spaces"

In Residual SpacesAlan Myers and Guido Palmadessa construct a visual territory where fragments of bodies, objects, and spaces converge with echoes of reconstructed memories. Their work functions as an incomplete map, where intimacy blurs and the ordinary transcends its familiarity.

The narrative, far from explicit, invites slow contemplation of the in-between. In these spaces of rupture and reconstruction, the viewer encounters a sensory and emotional experience that surpasses the limits of the figurative.

What happens to what we leave behind? What persists? What forms does intimacy take when it fractures?

The residual embodies what remains-those quiet traces of presence that resist fading, that existed before and will endure long after, shaping the spaces we inhabit.

Alan Myers - Biography

Alan Myers (b. 1988, Buenos Aires) paints from uncertainty, where the figure constructs and dissolves itself in the same gesture. His work does not seek to illustrate certainties but rather to suggest the complexity of human nature: bodies oscillating between presence and absence, colours holding emotional tension, brushstrokes that reveal as much as they conceal.

There are no absolutes in his paintings-only nuances, contradictions, and fragments of a world where fragility is not a limitation but an essential condition of existence. Through his expressive use of colour and brushwork, Myers explores vulnerability, rejecting binary notions of right and wrong, good and bad. Instead, his paintings navigate the infinite complexity of human experience, embracing the spaces in between.

Guido Palmadessa - Biography

Guido Palmadessa (b. 1988, Buenos Aires) is a painter and muralist currently based in Berlin, Germany. With roots in urban art and an academic background from the National University of the Arts (U.N.A Argentina), his work explores the human condition, balancing raw, expressive techniques with more structured, graphic compositions.

His paintings merge socially rooted portraiture with symbolic visual languages, reflecting both cultural narratives and personal inquiries. Constantly questioning the nature of memory and perception, his works unfold like recollections-fluid, fragmented, and ever-evolving. These accidental portraits capture moments in transformation, challenging the notion of painting as something fixed, as if the image itself resisted stillness.

Palmadessa's works can be found on walls and in galleries across Europe and Latin America.
