VHILS at MUCA & KUNSTLABOR 2Did you know?
As part of Vhils' survey exhibition "Strata" at the Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art (MUCA), the artist Vhils has taken the opportunity to unite both cultural venues, the MUCA and the KUNSTLABOR 2, with a spectacular installation of artworks from his "Latency Series".
The antenna symbolises an antiquated form of communication, while the mass gathering in the entrance area of KUNSTLABOR 2 serves as a metaphor for the complexity of hyperconnectivity associated with the globalised age.
The single antenna on the façade of the MUCA is a reminder that amidst the huge streams of information flowing through the ether of the urban environment, the individual - the human element in the artwork - has always been the original transmitter of knowledge.
We are delighted to present the outdoor interventions of renowned contemporary artist Alexandre Farto, aka Vhils.
