Two artists. Two generations. One exhibition.
Meaning does not arise from isolation, but from interaction. And that requires at least two elements. When two very different handwritings meet, there is no mixture. A special energy is created. One that creates tension, arouses curiosity, opens up new perspectives and gives rise to new questions.
Mia Buschmann is 22 and her works are the result of emotion. Figures, silhouettes and fragments emerge between abstraction and suggestion. Sometimes quietly, sometimes powerfully. Much remains open and this is precisely where her strength lies. What was initially a game with colours has become an integral part of her life - a language that she can speak without uttering a single word. Every brushstroke is a dialogue with herself and with all those who are willing to look.
Oliver Plursch is in his mid-50s and after many years as an art and creative director, he has left applied design behind and broadened his focus. He summarises his artistic self-image under the motto „ABB - Anything But Boring“. His works are large-format, spontaneous and rich in contrast. Structure meets dynamism. Colour is clearly placed. Each picture begins with an idea and develops its own direction in the process.
