\u201eOpen hearts<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 open\u00a0minds<\/span>!\u201c:\u00a0from Munich<\/span>\u00a0Cultural festival sets a precedent\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0Diversity and cohesion<\/b><\/p>\n

With a major cultural festival centred on interaction, diversity and social cohesion,\u00a0Munich<\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0World Refugee Day<\/span>\u00a0a visible sign\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0Openness and\u00a0Solidarity<\/span>. Under the title \u201eOpen\u00a0hearts<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 open\u00a0minds<\/span>!\u201c<\/strong>\u00a0loading<\/span>\u00a0a wide\u00a0Alliance<\/span>\u00a0from Munich<\/span> organisations to the Refugio Art Workshop.<\/p>\n

\u201eOpen\u00a0hearts<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 open\u00a0minds<\/span>\u201c!\u201d is not merely a cultural event, but also a social statement. In the face of growing polarisation and an often tense debate\u00a0about<\/span>\u00a0Through 'Flight and Migration', the organisers aim to create a space where people can come together\u00a0Conversation<\/span>\u00a0come together, break down prejudices and develop shared perspectives\u00a0can<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The audience can look forward to a\u00a0varied<\/span>\u00a0and a family-friendly programme<\/strong> Look forward to: live music from Farhang e.V., Guy-El and\u00a0Kimuntu<\/span>\u00a0Project, Kaleidoscopes,\u00a0Tcho<\/span>\u00a0man & Jah light Band and\u00a0die_ley<\/span>,\u00a0supplemented<\/span>\u00a0through workshops,\u00a0Information stands<\/span>\u00a0and plenty of hands-on activities\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0all age groups.<\/p>\n

One\u00a0beautiful<\/span>\u00a0This year, we are collaborating with the Swiss\u00a0Photo<\/span>\u00a0Club<\/strong>: Until 13 May.\u00a0can<\/span>\u00a0Anyone interested is invited to submit photos to be included in the exhibition at Kunstlabor 2. For each submission, \u20ac1 will be donated to the Refugio Art Workshop. Under the motto of the\u00a0World Refugee Day<\/span> \u201eAn audience award will also be presented at \u201cOpen Hearts, Open Minds\u201d. Visitors are invited to cast their votes.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0World Refugee Day<\/span>\u00a0was launched by the United Nations in 2001 and has been held every year on 20 June ever since. The\u00a0UN Refugee Agency<\/span>\u00a0(UNHCR)\u00a0published<\/span>\u00a0on this occasion, its annual report.
\nBy mid-2025, there were\u00a0about<\/span>\u00a0117 million people displaced, of whom 67.8 million are internally displaced and 36.4 million\u00a0Refugees<\/span>, who have fled war, violence and persecution. Around 8.4 million people were classified as asylum seekers.<\/p>\n
