From 20 September 2025, KUNSTLABOR 2 will become a huge playground for children and the young at heart. The art and cultural centre in Munich is showing the travelling exhibition \"Seth's SPIEL(T)R\u00c4UME\" by the internationally renowned French street artist Julien Malland, alias Seth. In this interactive exhibition, Seth immerses visitors in the diversity and possibilities of play around the world. With dreamlike installations, paintings, sculptures and murals, the artist aims to inspire creativity and curiosity, with a special focus on the young audience. \"Seth's SPIEL(T)R\u00c4UME\" was created in cooperation with the Mus\u00e9e en Herbe in Paris. A further station was the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam. For the exhibition at KUNSTLABOR 2, Seth conceived new works centred around the theme of \"Play and Childhood\".<\/p>\n

Interactive fantasy ice cream<\/strong><\/p>\n The exhibition \"Seth's SPIEL(T)R\u00c4UME\"<\/strong> invites you to join the artist on an imaginative and poetic journey. Visitors stroll through the recreated streets of Paris, where playing children cavort, creating an immersive urban environment. They accompany Seth on his travels to all corners of the world and take part in his encounters with children and their games from Madagascar, Indonesia, Haiti, Ukraine and China. In this exhibition, the works almost seem to come to life, reviving the board games of our childhood and entering into dialogue with their readers. The portraits of the visitors merge magically with the artist's works. One crosses a corridor in the colours of the rainbow, which Seth calls \"vortex\" and which stands for our imagination.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The artist Seth<\/strong><\/p>\n Born in Paris, Seth began expressing himself on the walls of his city in the mid-1990s. His favourite terrain was the 20th arrondissement, where he became known in the graffiti scene for his unique figures. Today, Seth is internationally recognised for his multi-layered murals that express innocence and imagination in a vibrant style. In his figurative works - including paintings, installations and sculptures - he explores themes such as social cohesion and childhood. The playful and humorous approach of the Mus\u00e9e en Herbe attracts more than 130,000 visitors every year. The museum also makes its expertise available to other organisations.
